Effective Date: March 01, 2022

This Cookie Policy (this “Policy”) describes how Poppin’ Jay Inc d/b/a Blue Chip and Continuum Clinical, and our affiliated businesses (collectively, Poppin’ Jay”, “us” or “we”) may use cookies and other tracking technologies in association with the operation of the websites that Poppin’ Jay owns or controls (today or in the future), including https://continuumclinical.com/ and https://bluechipww.com/ (the “Sites”) and Poppin’ Jay’s  html-formatted emails (collectively, “digital services”).

WHY USE COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

Cookies do a lot of different jobs, such as letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences and generally improving the user experience. They can also help to ensure that the advertisements you see online are more relevant to you and your interests. In addition, cookies can help us to analyze the use of our digital services and online content (analytics cookies) and they can also facilitate/track the interaction on our digital services and online content with social media (e.g. links to social media sites, like buttons, etc.).

WHAT ARE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

Cookies.  Cookies are small text files placed on your device to store data that can be recalled by a web server in the same domain that placed the cookie. The text in a cookie often consists of a string of numbers and letters that uniquely identifies your device, but it can contain other information as well, such as your IP address or other identifier, your browser type, and information about the content you view and interact with on the Site. By storing such information, web browser cookies can remember your preferences and settings for online services and analyze how you use online services.  Below are some common terms that may help you to better understand cookies and how they work:

  • First-party and third-party cookies: Whether a cookie is ‘first’ or ‘third’ party refers to the domain placing the cookie. First-party cookies are those set by a website that is being visited by the user. An example would be the cookies placed by us when you visit our website. Third-party cookies are cookies that are set by a domain other than that of the website being visited by the user. For example, if a user visits the digital services and another entity sets a cookie through our website, this would be a third-party cookie.
  • Persistent cookies: These cookies remain on a user’s device for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time the user visits the website that created the particular cookie.
  • Session cookies: These cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session. A session starts when a user opens the browser and ends when they close the browser. Session cookies are temporary, so all session cookies are deleted when the user closes the browser.

Web Beacons/Pixel Tags. Web beacons or pixel tags are small images which are embedded into the Site, our emails or advertisements to help us determine traffic to and activity on the Site and whether email messages we send to you have been opened and links clicked on. This information is used to help our website and app publishers better analyze and improve their services to us.  Web beacons do not place information on your device, but they may work in conjunction with cookies to monitor website activity.

WHAT CATEGORIES OF COOKIES DOES POPPIN’ JAY USE?

We use the following categories of cookies on the Site:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.
  • Functional Cookies: These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, then some or all of these services may not function properly.
  • Performance Cookies: These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site and will not be able to monitor its performance.
  • Targeting Cookies: These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They do not store directly personal information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.
  • Social Media Cookies: These cookies are set by a range of social media services that we have added to the site to enable you to share our content with your friends and networks. They are capable of tracking your browser across other sites and building up a profile of your interests. This may impact the content and messages you see on other websites you visit. If you do not allow these cookies, you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools.

DOES POPPIN’ JAY USE COOKIES FOR MARKETING AND ANALYTICS?

Yes, we may use information collected from our cookies to identify user behavior and to serve content and offers based on your profile, and for the other purposes described below, to the extent legally permissible in certain jurisdictions.  In other cases, we can associate cookie information (including information from cookies placed via our advertisements on third party sites) with an identifiable individual. For example:

  • If we send you a targeted email which includes web beacons, cookies or similar technologies we will know whether you open, read, or delete the message.
  • When you click a link in a marketing e-mail you receive from us, we will also use a cookie to log what pages you view and what content you download from our websites.
  • Combining and analyzing personal data – We may combine data from publicly available sources, and from our different e-mail, website, and personal interactions with you (this includes information collected across our different websites such as when you connect to our websites social media). We combine this data to better assess your experience with Poppin’ Jay.

WHAT CHOICES DO I HAVE?

  • Cookie Settings.  You can use the Cookie Preferences Center to customize your cookie preferences at any time. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled.  Also, your selections on the Site will not work to disable cookies and other tracking technologies placed on websites not owned or operated by us.
  • Using Your Browser.  Certain browsers can be set to reject browser cookies. To disable cookies through your browser, follow the instructions usually located within the “Help,” “Tools” or “Edit” menus in your browser.  Please note that removing or blocking cookies can impact your experience on the Site and some functionality may no longer be available.
  • Do Not Track (DNT).  This is a feature used by some browsers to send a signal to websites to indicate that the browser should not be tracked, which will cause cookies used for purposes such as analytics and advertising to be disabled. As there are presently no current industry-wide uniform agreed and accepted standards on how DNT requests should be managed, currently we will not respond to any DNT signals.
  • Global Privacy Controls. Global Privacy Control (GPC) (https://globalprivacycontrol.org/) is a proposed specification designed to allow Internet users to notify businesses of their privacy preferences, such as whether or not they want their personal information to be sold or shared. It consists of a setting or extension in the user’s browser or mobile device and acts as a mechanism that websites can use to indicate they support the specification.
  • You can opt-out of behavioral advertising.  The Self-Regulatory Program for Online Behavioral Advertising program provides consumers with the ability to opt-out of having their online behavior recorded and used for advertising purposes. To opt out of having your online behavior collected for advertising purposes, click here.  Please note, some of the tracking technologies we use do not participate in the Self-Regulatory Program for Online Behavioral Advertising. To get more information about how to opt-out of having your online behavior collected through these tracking tools, click on the link in the description of that particular tracking tool.  The Digital Advertising Alliance also offers a tool for opting out of the collection of cross-app data on a mobile device for interest-based advertising. To exercise choices for the companies participating in this tool, download the AppChoices app here.  Certain choices you make are both browser and device-specific.

We may have collected information about you from cookies and other technologies placed on your browser prior to any preference changes you may have made in the Cookie Settings or when disabling cookies from your browser.  Once your preferences are set, we will honor your selections on a go forward basis.
